Summer Deals on Jordan Tourism
Middle Eastern airlines are offering summer deals on Jordan travel in a bid to restore confidence and tourism within the MENA region following the recent wave of political unrest. Airlines including Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia, Gulf Air and Royal Jordanian have all slashed prices on package deals and air fares to Middle Eastern destinations.
This is part of a broader trend which benefits tourists to the region and runs counter to the increasing cost of air travel to most other international destinations. Tourism companies in countries like Egypt, Jordan, Oman and Bahrain have been thrown into crisis following travel warnings from foreign embassies and canceled tour group trips. Jordan has lost an estimated $70 million as a result, despite the fact that the country itself has not witnessed any violence or protests.
