Jordan Travel Safety Tips
Some Jordan tourists have given fellow travelers advice and safety tips for Jordan travel. These include a warning for Jordan tourists visiting the Dead Sea. They say that "mud-men" will approach you to ask to spread warm Dead Sea mud all over your body in exchange for a small tip.
If you do fall for this one, make sure there are no friends with cameras around to document it. Another tourist warns that you will find smoking everywhere you go in public. Because Jordan has no law regarding smoking in public areas, it can be a nightmare for those travelers who are allergic or sensitive to smoke. Another person warns that the price for admission at the famous historical site of Petra is a ripoff. They say that although Jordan is a relaxed and hospitable destination, it's also very expensive. They said that the price of admission for two people at Petra came to $80.
